Carbon Neutral baking

A recent addition to Carbon Compass, La Madre Bakery is well known within sustainability circles.
The Geelong based bakery specialises in traditional techniques of artisanal baking, using the finest, most natural ingredients possible- without the use of preservatives, improvers and additives.

Recently, La Madre has taken an extra step in their sustainability journey, and has announced the carbon neutrality of their famous Hot Cross Buns and Spelt Sourdough range. The products have been calculated and offset through the purchase of carbon credits accredited under the Voluntary Carbon Standard to offset their emissions impact.

La Madre hope to add more products to their Carbon Neutral Portfolio, as well as continually look for ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

For more information about La Madre, click here, or contact anna@lamadre.com.au for further details.

FEATURED HINT & TIP

De-lamp overlit areas

Featured Solution

De-lamping is the process of removing light tubes/bulbs in areas which are over-lit, underused or receive adequate natural light. By de-lamping, you will reduce the amount of energy your business consumes from lighting. In turn, your running costs and carbon emissions will be reduced. Best of all, you can do it yourself, and keep de-lamped tubes to use when other lamps blow.
